One such place is the Farmers & Crafts Market of Las Cruces, which offers fun for all ages! Read on to learn more about this iconic, local entity.
History of the Farmers & Crafts Market of Las Cruces
In the summer of 1971, local farmers came together to start selling their produce. Thus, the Farmers & Crafts Market of Las Cruces was born. As time went on, the market expanded, adding local crafters and artists to the fold. For many years, the market stayed in the same spot. However, in 2009, it expanded to offer a lot more.
Since then, the market now stretches several blocks of Downtown Main Street in Las Cruces and offers spaces for gatherings and live entertainment. Today, you’ll still find locally grown produce as well as artwork, jewelry, metalwork, and much more!
Things to Do at the Market
With more than 200 vendors featured at the market, you’ll be plenty busy! In addition to finding fresh produce, you can get your fill of great food from one of the food trucks and check out various live musical performances as well as performances from other local artists.
Also, feel free to bring your pets, as the market is pet-friendly.
